Preparation:
Boil Barley in 9 pints of water for 1 hour, then add the roots (except the Licorice); boil for 30 minutes or more; next add the Dates stoned and cut, and other fruit; boil with the rest for 15 minutes; next add the herbs and boil a further 15 minutes; at last the Licorice, bruised seeds, Maidenhair and Flowers are added and boiled briefly, then the pot is removed from the fire.

Function:
Clears Phlegm, strengthens the Lungs, stops Cough and Wheezing

Use:
1. Cough, Bronchitis (Spasmodic)
2. Asthma
3. Wheezing, Breathlessness


Dose:

1–2 oz. 2 or 3 times daily. A spoonful can be taken several times a day
