The Formulary contains detailed information on Formulas of Traditional Medicine. The intention is to collect and list Formulas from the 4 Greater Traditional Medicine systems: Greek/Arab ('Western'), Indian, Tibetan and Chinese, and occasionally from other systems.

Some of the Formulas have been in widespread use for centuries, others are Formulas used by well-known physicians. Some are applicable for modern use, others are applicable for modern use with modifications, and some are not practical for modern-day use, but are given to show a method of use, the combination of certain medicines, or for educational, reference or historical purposes only.

The majority of the Formulas are from the Western Tradition, and are aimed at Western Practitioners, as the availability of these formulas is very low compared to other traditions, especially TCM.

If you would like to contribute information of a formula not listed, or else to add to or correct a Formula monograph which already exists, please use the Contact Page.
