Preparation:
Decoct down to half, adding the Senna and Rhubarb towards the end. Strain, clarify, and keep for use.
Function:
Clears Heat and Toxin, benefits Digestion, cleanses and tones Stomach and Bowels
Use:
1. Worms in Children; Rickets
2. Obstructed Menstruation, Amenorrhea, Chlorosis;
3. Opens Obstructions of the Viscera, Colic
4. Edema, Gout, Yellow and Black Jaundice
5. Useful in Stubborn and Rebellious diseases to take occasionally
6. Lungs obstructed with tartarous (thick) matter
Dose:
2–4 oz. or more
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
1. This was also made without Senna and Rhubarb for those who didn’t require them, or those who are weak.
