Preparation:
Powder and form honey pills; 10 pills weigh 2 1⁄2 grams
Function:
Clears Kidney Heat, promotes Urine, moves the Blood, eases Pain, Resists Poison
Use:
Good for Kidney or Joint disease with inflammation.
1. Kidney disease
2. Back pain, Lumbago
3. Hip or Pelvic pain
4. Sciatica
5. Epidemic Fever
6. Dysentery
Dose:
2–4 pills (1⁄2–1 gram), once or twice daily.
Cautions:
1. Contains Aconite. Avoid overdose.
2. Avoid in Heart disease and Hypertension
3. Not used in the very young, weak, or during Pregnancy
Modifications:
This is somewhat similar to some of the Gum Lacca formulas of Mesue and Rhazes which were also used for Kidney obstruction. Also compare with Power of Madder of Lemery.
