Preparation:
Beat them well, and with a sufficient quantity of Honey of Roses or mucilage of Gum Tragacanth, form into Pills. Let 1 dram make 5 Pills.
Function:
Purge Bile and Phlegm from the Head, Brain, Stomach and Bowels
Use:
1. Headache
2. Poor or Failing Sight
3. Catarrhal Deafness, Tinnitus
4. Chronic Edema or Fluid retention
5. Leprosy and Pox
6. Arthritic diseases and Rheumatism
7. Jaundice
8. They were used to promote Menstruation when obstructed in strong women.
Dose:
1–2 pills at night, 2–3 in the morning

Modifications:
1. Some versions added Hiera Picra.
Similar Formulas:
Pills of Cochia are similar, but Golden Pills are better corrected.
It was called Golden due to its virtues, rather than their appearance or any single ingredient.
They are very good for diseases of the Head and Brain caused by excess Heat/Bile and Phlegm/Damp. They are also very useful in various chronic diseases from the same humors.
