2 drams, 1 scr.

Preparation:
Cut the fruits small, and beat them to a pulp, then push through a sieve. Beat all the other ingredients separately, then beat them together. With Sugar dissolved in Hyssop Water and clarified Honey, of each twice the weight of the rest, form an Electuary according to Art. Some made them into Tablets.

Function:
Strengthens Lung Yin and Qi, Clears Cold Phlegm, Benefits the Throat

Use:
1. Cough
2. Wheezing
3. Breathlessness

4. Asthma
5. Hoarseness, Weakness of the Voice and Throat Irritation associated with Lung weakness (it was often made into tablets for this purpose)


Dose:
2–6 drams, twice or thrice daily. It was usually taken with a Licorice stick, or decoction of Hyssop, Fig and Raisin.

None noted

1. Some versions omitted Storax.
