Botanical name:
Valeriana officinalis
Great Garden Valerian was called Phu magnum, the Wild, Phu parvum
It is known in TCM, but is not commonly used.

Very Warm, dry. Pungent, aromatic

Uses:
1. Moves the Qi, Settles Wind and Spasms, Calms the Mind: (West, TCM, Ayurveda):

2. Moves the Qi and Blood, Promotes Menstruation:

4. Warms the Kidneys, Clears Wind and Damp, Promotes Urine:

5. Moves the Qi and Blood, Benefits the Heart:

-‘It is used generally in slight Cuts, Wounds, and small Hurts’.
