Preparation:
Boil in Barley water; to the strained liquor add 1 1⁄2 lbs. of white sugar, and form a syrup.
Function:
Clears Heat, benefits Yin, resists Poison
Use:
1. Stomach Heat
2. Liver Heat
3. Heart Heat
4. Heat of the Lungs with acute Cough
5. Pleurisy
6. Catarrh
7. resists Pestilence and Poison
8. Quenches Thirst in Fever
9. Diabetes (frequent Urination of a hot cause)
10. Restlessness, Insomnia
Dose:
2–4 oz.
