* Nux Vomica is prepared for use by heating in sand until it swells, or by peeling and frying in Sesame oil
** Silkworm, Frankincense and Myrrh are prepared by stir-frying in a dry wok.

Preparation:
Powder and form pills each weighing 300mg

Function:
Opens Obstructions, clears Wind and Damp, moves the Blood, opens the Channels, relieves Pain and Spasm

Use:
1. Chronic Joint Pain from Wind and Damp
2. Rheumatoid Arthritis
3. Sciatica


Dose:
2–3 pills (600–900mg) once daily (usually at bed time), increased to a maximum dose of 4 pills (1200mg).
3 or 4 weeks is a course of treatment, with a 7–10 day break, then repeated for several courses.
Always begin with the lower dose, only increasing if necessary.


Cautions:
1. Avoid overdose
2. Not used in Pregnancy
3. Contraindicated in Hypertension
4. Not used in Heart, Liver or Kidney disease
5. Great care in the young or very old; not suitable for children under 10 years of age.
6. If side e
ffects present such as dizziness or nausea, reduce or suspend the usage. Drink warm water, Licorice decoction, or green Mung bean decoction.


Modifications:
The medicine is still effective without the animal products.
