Preparation:
Clarify the juices by boiling gently and removing the scum; Renodeus said it is best to depurate the juices by sitting them in the Sun. Then add the Sugar and boil to a syrup.
Function:
Clears Heat from the Blood, opens the Liver, benefits the Stomach and Liver
Use:
1. Pox
2. Chronic Ulcers
3. Leprosy
4. Fever from Liver heat
5. Obstruction of the Liver; Hypochondriac pain
6. Hardness of the Liver or Spleen
7. Used to prepare the Melancholy Humor for Purging
Dose:
1–2 oz.
