Painful and Obstructed Urine

Dysuria & Stranguria

Painful and Obstructed Urine can come from various causes. It should be divided into acute and chronic conditions.

Acute Cases are generally caused by Damp, combined either with Cold or Heat. Cold conditions pass little pale urine, with a heavy feeling rather than strong pain. Heat cases are with hot pain and burning sensations, and the urine is yellow or reddish.

Chronic cases can be caused by Kidney deficiency or Obstruction. There is little urine, urinary dribbling. When from Kidney deficiency there is lower back pain, while obstruction will have a desire to urinate by with difficulty. In elderly men, Obstructed Urine may often be associated with Prostatitis.

Medicines that clear Heat and Damp along with Diuretics are required for cases with Heat. Cold-types need Diuretics with Warming medicine. Kidney deficiency is treated with Tonics medicines along with those to promote Urine. Obstruction is treated with medicines that open obstruction along with Diuretics. Chronic obstruction requires blood-moving medicines and medicines that open obstruction, in conjuction with Diuretics.
