Function:
Moves Qi, calms the Liver, clears Heat, benefits Spleen, Qi and Blood
Use:
In all cases the tongue will be slightly red on the edges with a thin white or yellow coating, with a wiry and rapid pulse, red eyes and a dry mouth.
1. Acute and chronic Gastritis, chronic Hepatitis
2. PMS, Breast tenderness, Menopausal Syndrome
3. Irritability, Stress, Emotions, mild depression, short temper, anger
4. Anxiety, Hypertension
5. Dizziness, Vertigo, Insomnia, Headache especially due to stress
6. Hypochondriac pain
7. Skin disease including Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis
Dose:
Take 6 grams of the powder twice daily with warm water

Modifications:
1. More Blood deficiency, add Rehmannia Shu Di and Ligustrum Chuan Xiong
2. More deficiency, add Astragalus Huang Qi and Codonopsis Dang Shen
3. Alternating Fever and Chills, increase Dose of Bupleurum Chi Hu and add Scutellaria Huang Qin and Pinella Zhi Ban Xia
4. As a powder, it is good to add Pearl for stress, anxiety, irritability and PMS in women.
This is a main formula for PMS, mild stress, anxiety and Depression. It harmonises the Liver and Spleen, the Mind and Emotions.
