Preparation:
Powder and mix with Honey to form an Electuary

Function:
Clears Phlegm and Damp

Use:
1. Phlegm in the Stomach with thick coat, poor appetite etc.
2. Phlegm obstructing the Lungs

3. Cough or Asthma with excess Phlegm

Dose:
2 drams

This is basically the same formula as the Medicamen of Turbith of Avicenna, this just adding Aniseed. Therefore, we have named it Compound of Turbith with Anise which is not its traditional name (the source text gave no specific name).

This and the related Medicament of Turbith are primary formulas for the treatment of Phlegm and Damp obstruction.
