Preparation:
Decoction
Function:
Strengthens the Liver, nourishes Liver Yin and Blood, calms the Mind and Nerves.
Use:
Tongue is pale (is Blood deficient) or red and dry (if Yin is more deficient), Pulse is wiry and rapid, or weak.
1. Headache
2. Dizziness
3. Vertigo
4. Tinnitus
5. Blurred Vision
6. Photophobia
7. Cramps
8. Amenorrhea
9. Excessive Menstruation
10. Restless Leg Syndrome
11. Parkinson's Disease
Dose:
The above is divided into three equal doses to be taken over the day.
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
1. To more strongly nourish Liver Yin, add Ophiopogon Mai Men Dong,.
2. Headache and Dizziness, add Abalone shell (Shi Jue Ming), Chrysanthemum Ju Hua, Uncaria Gou Teng.
3. Blurred vision, Photophobia, add Lycium Gou Qi Zi (Goji) and Ligustrum Nu Zhen Zi.
