Preparation:
Form Pills.
“The healing effect of the medicine is enhanced if it is used in the form of an aqueous decoction, which is prepared as follows: first, the powder from the indicated remedies is moistened in “Three Reds” [Madder, Lacca, Symplocos] and in milk, then water is added and boiled to 1/3 of the volume”. (Ontsar Gadon der Dzod)
Function:
Clears Lung Heat, clears Pus, Stops Cough
Use:
Heat in the Lungs with Cough, shortness of Breath, reddish-yellow sputum, with sever Sweating
“especially this medicine is good for treating the Lungs and helping with Glo gchong [Tuberculosis] disease
“This medicine cures all Lung diseases”

6. Pus in the Lungs (foul sputum)

11. Shortness of Breath
12. Regarded as beneficial for Smokers
13. Heat in the chest and upper back with Chest pain
15. Loss of body weight, loss of strength in limbs
16. Cold Sweats
17. Dries serous humor
Dose:
2–3 grams with hot water

None noted
Modifications:
1. If Copper Bhasma (Zangs thal) is added it is effective for Pus in the Lungs (Lung Abscess etc).
