Preparation:
Powder and form an Electuary with Honey, or Syrup of Honey
Function:
Opens Obstructions, clears Crass and Viscid Humors, Dissolves Wind
Use:
1. Chronic Fever from Crass Humors
2. Clears Crass (undigested) and Viscid (thick) Humors
3. Useful for Paralysis caused by Wind and Damp
4. Cold, Damp and Wind affecting the Joints
5. Asthma from Wind and Phlegm
6. Pain caused by Cold, Damp and Wind
7. May be useful in various other conditions caused by Damp (undigested humors) and Wind.
Dose:
1 dram with decoction of Gentian and Asarum
Comment:
Crass Humors mean undigested Humors, similar to Damp of TCM and Ama of Ayurveda. Viscid means thick. This formula is good for diseases coming from accumulation or obstruction of Phlegm and Damp affecting the channels
The text says ‘it is very often proven’ as an effective medicine.
