There are more than 140 types of Cancer of the Brain and CNS. Common Brain Cancer types include:
  • Glioma–Begin in Brain or Spinal Cord and include:
    • Astrocytomas; various grades based on aggressiveness; survival rates around 68% in 20–44 year olds
    • Glioblastomas; most common primary Brain Cancer; typical survival rate about 12 months.

  • Medullblastoma–most common in children

Cancers in the Brain are also commonly secondary to a primary cancer elsewhere in the body, especially from Breast, Kidney, Colon, Lung and Melanoma. In the U.S. it is estimated there are over 200,000 metastatic brain tumors annually being the most common form of Brain Cancer.

Symptoms can vary widely but include:
  • Headaches increasing in frequency and severity
  • New onset or a change in the pattern of headaches
  • Visual disturbance, double vision, loss of vision etc
  • Speech difficulties
  • Loss of balance
  • unexplained Nausea or Vomiting
  • Fatigued, Confused, Behavioral changes
The most common early sign in Brain Cancer is Headache, especially when persistent, increasing in frequency and intensity.

Brain Cancer were basically unknown in Traditional Medicine, although they still fit into a general classification of Tumors or Cancers. They may also fit into other classifications depending on their presentation. This include Headaches, Wind disorders etc.

As with other Cancers, Brain Cancers can be treated successfully in Traditional Medicine.
