Asparagus root & Parsley root

Asparagus root is used in various systems as a Yin tonic. It cools and moistens, strengthens the Kidneys and supports the hormones.

Parsley root is a Yang tonic. It stimulates Kidney function, and promotes Urine.

Together, they strengthen the Kidneys, benefiting both Yin and Yang of the Kidneys, promote Urine, clear Damp, and open Obstructions. This combination may be given for Strangury, Dysuria, and Edema.
It is useful for Obesity and lower body fluid accumulation due to Kidney deficiency.

It promotes Menstruation, and was used for the ill-color of young girls with Primary Amenorrhea.

Note that these two roots are part of the Five Opening Roots, along with the roots of Celery, Fennel and Butchers Broom.
