1. Strengthens the Brain:
–Mental dullness or Mental deficiency
–Poor or failing memory
–‘Strengthens the Wit and Memory‘ (Chicken Brain)
–Neurasthenia, melancholy, epilepsy, chorea, migraine, psychosis, insanity, hysteria and other mental illness. (Merc: Cow Brain)
–The brains of a Ram were used for lethargy and excessive sleep (Schroder, Salmon)

Prepared Brain in Powder: 100–300mg
Tincture (made of the dried Brain 1 in 10 parts 60% alcohol): 10–30 drops
Preparation:
The membranes and vessels are removed, and the organ is washed well.
1. Dried Brain:
The organ can be sliced and dried in a low oven.
Organotherapists used a defatted extract in dried form.
2. Alcohol-prepared Brain:
The sliced Brain is dipped in Brandy, then hung to dry in a warm place (or a low oven). This is repeated a number of times until thoroughly dried. This dries it quicker and better, helps preserve the effects, and lessens the unpleasant smell.
