Fang Feng (Saposhnikovia)

Saposhnikovia divaricata

Qiang Huo (Notopterygium)

Zhi Gan Cao (Fried Licorice)

Glycyrrhiza uralensis

Preparation:

Powder

Function:

Clears Wind-Cold-Damp, Opens the Lungs, Clears the Sinus

Use:

1. Nasal Congestion
2. Runny nose with copious clear discharge
3. Acute and chronic Sinusitis or Rhinitis
4. Allergic Rhinitis
5. Common Cold or Influenza (with predominant nasal congestion)
6. Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (with predominant Wind-Cold)
7. Sinus Headache
8. Headache due to Wind-Cold
9. Loss of sense of smell

Dose:

Take 6 grams with Tea after meals, twice or thrice daily.

Cautions:

1. Not for Wind-Heat nasal congestion
2. Caution during Pregnancy

Modifications:

1. Nasal congestion from Wind-Cold, add Xanthium Cang Er Zi
2. Allergic Rhinitis, take with Xiao Qing Long Tang
