Preparation:
Bruise the seeds and boil in 3 lbs. of a decoction made of 1⁄2. ounce each of Lentil and Coriander seed until 2 lbs. has been consumed. Strain, and add 2 oz. of Lemon juice, and 1 1⁄2 lbs. of White Sugar, and make a Syrup according to Art.
Function:
Clears Heat, astringes and Stops Bleeding
Use:
1. Spitting of Blood
2. Spermatorrhea
3. Leukorrhea
4. Catarrh
5. Excessive Menstruation
6. ‘Uterine Fury’ otherwise called ‘Madness of the Womb’; emotion, hysteria or rage and anger associated with Hormones as seen in adolescents, during PMS or Menopause.
7. Cools the heat of Lust
Dose:
1–1 1⁄2 oz. in a cooling vehicle such as Lettuce or Poppy water
