Vacha (Calamus)	Acorus calamus
Kushtha (Costus)	Saussurea costus
Pippali (Long Pepper)	Piper longum
Sunthi (Ginger root)	Zingiber officinale
Sweta jiraka (Cumin)	Cuminum cyminum
Ajamoda (Celery seed)	Apium leptophyllum
Yashtimadhu (Licorice)	Glycyrrhiza glabra
Saindhava lava (Rock Salt)	Sal Gem	1 part ea.
Ghrita (Ghee)	Buturum clarificans	6 parts

Preparation:

Powder the herbs finely, then mix to form a paste with the Ghee

Function:

Clears Wind and Phlegm, Benefit the Throat

Use:

1. Hoarseness
2. Sore Throat
3. Loss of Speech

Dose:

2–3 grams as a dose, 12 grams daily in divided doses with water; it can be held in the mouth and sucked
