Preparation:

Grind and sieve; it was traditionally beaten with Asses milk, formed into Troches, then dried in the shade, this being repeated three times. Then it was made into an Electuary (Lohoch) with Honey, and kept for use.

Function:

Clears Phlegm, stops Cough, strengthens the Lungs

Use:

1. Cough–dry, chronic, irritable; from Phlegm or Deficiency
2. Weakness of the Lungs–Wheezing, Breathlessness

Dose:

Licked throughout the day; dose would be 1 dram if taken

Comment:

Albotin is an old name for Turpentine.
