Gum Arabic	Acacia arabica
Licorice juice	Succus Glycyrrhiza
Bean meal	Faba
Fennel seed	Foeniculum vulgare
Aniseed	Pimpinella anisum
Lettuce seed	Lactuosa sativa
Starch	Amylum
Purslane seed	Portulaceae oleracea
Mallow seed	Malva sylvestris	10 drams ea.
Cucumber seed	Cucumis sativus
Melon seed	Citrullus vulgaris
Pumpkin seed	Cucurbita pepo	5 drams ea.

Preparation:

Confect with Honey purified, or with Penids and Honey together

Function:

Clears Heat, Stops Cough, benefits the Lungs

Use:

1. Cough from Hot-Phlegm or Dryness
2. Chronic Cough
3. Spasmodic Cough

Dose:

2 aurerum (1 1⁄2–2 drams)
