Preparation:
With a sufficient quantity of Roses, or Confection of Roses, form an Electuary.
Function:
Clears Damp, Resolves Stones, Promotes Urine
Use:
1. Gravel
2. Stones
3. Urinary obstructions from Damp
Dose:
A piece the size of a Hazelnut, taken with a Decoction of Chick Peas, morning and evening
Comment:
Montagnana had a Diuretic Electuary listed in Pharmacopoeia Augustana upon which this is probably based. It contained Burnt eggshells, burnt glass, Sponge and Jew’s stone, Goat’s Blood, various seeds etc.
Cautions:
1. Avoid overdose
2. Not used in Heat conditions
