Preparation:
Powder the Myrobalans, beat with a little Almond oil, then mix with the Honey (or Sugar Syrup) and the rest in powder.
Function:
Purges the Brain, benefits Digestion, clears Melancholy
Use:
1. Headache
2. Migraine
3. Trigeminal Neuralgia
4. Melancholy, Depression
5. Mental disorders due to impure blood
6. Chronic Catarrh
7. Phlegm Diseases
8. Keeps the Hair Black
9. Improves digestion, promotes bowel movement
10. It has been used recently for Menopause with success, especially for Night Sweats, Insomnia, Irritability and Depression..
Dose:
5–10 grams (1–2 teaspoonfuls), preferably taken with milk at bedtime.
Avoid Sours while taking.
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
There are many variations:
1. Some use a double quantity of Chebulic Myrobalan
2. Some omit Turbith and Mastic, but add Rose
3. Some versions add a little Ghee (about 3% the weight of the Honey or Syrup)
