Function:
Clears Lung Heat, Resists Poison, Stops Cough
Use:
For cough, reddish-yellow sputum, stabbing chest pain, chest tightness, shortness of breath with thirst
1. Lung heat Cough, Bronchitis
2. Influenza or Respiratory Virus affecting the Lungs
3. Pneumonia
4. all types of Fevers ‘khrugs [Blood heat[ and rims [contagious diseases] ‘
5. Especially Heat in the Lungs associated with damage or trauma
6. Residual Cough and remnants of chham (respiratory viruses including Influenza) with difficult to expectorate sputum.
7. Sharp increase in Blood Pressure
Dose:
2–3 grams
Cautions:
1. Harmful in Yang deficiency
2. Not used during Pregnancy
Modifications:
Aristolchia should be omitted or substituted
