* Nux Vomica, Aconite, Mercury and Cinnabar must all be prepared
** Sha chen is Human flesh, but is replaced today with Yak Heart
+++ Musk and Bear Bile are typically substituted today; Musk is substituted with artificial Musk or Delphinium; Bear Bile is substituted with Cow Bile or Veronica.

Preparation:

The Mercury, Nix Vomica, Aconite and Cinnabar must be purified. Then powder all and form Pills.

Function:

Clears Heat, Resists Poison

Use:

“The best remedy for the treatment of contact infections [Syphilis] manifesting in the form of ulcers”.
“If taken at dawn, all infectious diseases are suppressed [for that day]”.
1. Syphilis (considered specific)
2. Toxic diseases from pyrogenic and environmental factors
3. Psoriasis
4. Painful inflammatory skin diseases (infections)
5. Herpes zoster
6. Small Pox
7. All types of Ulcers and Wounds.
8. May be used for Cancers including Skin Cancer
9. Prevent against Infectious diseases
10. Negative effects of the demons Klu gnyan [Earth and Water Spirits] and Sa bdag [Environmental Spirits]

Dose:

1–2 grams

Cautions:

1. Highly toxic in overdose. Should not be used long-term
2. Not used in very young, elderly, during Pregnancy, or those with Kidney or Liver disease.
