Preparation:
Powder and form small pills with Honey.
Function:
Nourish the Yin of the Liver and Kidneys, Strengthens the Eyes
Use:
1. Poor or failing vision
2. Photophobia
3. Myopia
4. Retinitis
5. Optic neuritis
6. Optic nerve atrophy
7. Macular degeneration
8. Cataracts
9. Glaucoma
Dose:
9 grams of the pills, three times daily
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
1. Poor or failing Eyesight, add Lycium Gou Qi Zi
2. Signs of Heat, add Anemarrhena Zhi Mu and Phellodendron Huang Bai
3. Macular Degeneration, add Lycium Gou Qi Zi, Chrysanthemum Ju Hua, Mistletoe (Sang Ji Shen)
