Preparation:
Powder and form Pills.
Function:
Clears Lung Heat, Stops Cough, Moves the Blood, Stops Bleeding
Use:
Cough with pain in the chest, shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, thirst
1. Chronic Cough with coughing Blood
2. Chronic Cough with yellow or yellow-red Phelgm
3. Stabbing pain in the chest
4. Fever and Cough caused by Influenza
5. Remnants after Influenza with Cough and difficult-to-expectorate Phlegm
Dose:
2–3 grams with water or milk
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
1. Another source has used Gentiana algida, White Sandalwood, Cinnamon and Hedychium spicatum in place of Onosma, Pterocephalus, Geranium and Aristolchia.
