Orris	Iris germanica	15 grams
Rose	Rosa gallica	10 grams
Rhubarb	Rheum palmatum
Lacca	Laccifer lacca
Cassia wood	Cinnamonum cassia	5 grams ea.
Sa ff ron	Crocus sativus	3 grams

Preparation:

Powder and mix with 150 grams Honey and 55 mls of Vinegar

Another version from Pharmacopoeia Persica (1681):

Herb Name	Latin	Amount
Rose	Rosa gallica	4 drams
Orris	Iris germanica	7 drams
Rhubarb	Rheum palmatum
Lacca	Laccifer lacca	3/4 dram ea.
Cassia wood	Cinnamonum cassia
Sa ff ron	Crocus sativus
Myrrh	Commiphora molmol	½ dram ea.

Preparation:

Beat the Saffron with Vinegar, then add the rest in powder and mix with Honey to form an Electuary.

Function:

Clears Liver heat, moves Qi and Blood

Use:

1. Specific for Hepatitis (modern)
2. Tumors of the Liver (Pharmacopoeia Persica)

Dose:

5–10 grams
