Cypress nuts	Cupressus semperviens
Tragacanth	Astragalus tragacanth
Mastic	Pistacia lentiscus
Gum Arabic	Acacia arabica
Armenian Earth	Terra Armenius
Dragons Blood	Daemonorops draco
Tabasheer	Bambusae silicae	1 dram ea.
Hare’s hair, cut fi ne	Leporis capillus	3 drams
Honey clari fied	Mel	sufficient

Preparation:

Powder the herbs, Earth and Hares hair, and with clarified Honey, form an Electuary

Function:

Astringent, Healing, Strengthening

Use:

1. Hernias
2. Aneurism

Dose:

1 dram

Comment:

The Hare’s hair is an unusual internal remedy. The remedy will stand without it, despite its relatively large dose. The ashes of Hares hair could be used instead, and in lesser dose.
