Sug smel (Cardamon)

Elettaria cardamomum

Ya ba ksha ra (Potassium carbonate) *

La la phud (Fennel seed)

Foeniculum vulgare

15 grams ea.

Pi pi ling (Long Pepper)

Piper longum

10 grams

* Ya ba ksha ra is impure potassium carbonate extracted from the ashes of Barley husk and is equivalent to Yavaksara of Indian Medicine. Some have equated it with Potassium nitrate.

Preparation:

Powder; it is mixed with Honey

Function:

Clears Phlegm, Regulates Qi, Benefits the Heart

Use:

1. Phlegm affecting the Heart with severe drowsiness and a feeling of pressure on the chest
2. Cold-type Heart pain
3. Coronary Heart Disease
4. Bradycardia
5. Ischemia

Dose:

2 grams of the powder, taken with Honey
