Function:
Clears Heat, Resolves Toxin
Use:
1. Considered specific for Measles
2. Throat diseases from Heat
3. Also for Blood Heat and Bile.
Dose:
small cupful twice daily
Cautions:
1. Aristolochia is prohibited in developed countries; Sweetie is often substituted in Tibetan Medicine.
2. Not used during Pregnancy
Modifications:
1. Swertia can replace Birthwort
2. If there is difficulty swallowing, add Gu Gul (Bdellium) and Tshar bong (Artemisia sieversiana)
