Preparation:

The Bhasmas are mixed well in a mortar, adding a little Musk and Saffron with a little water and grinding well together until dried.
Next, the mix is ground in each of the following liquids consecutively, grinding until the liquid is absorbed and it becomes dry, before proceeding to the next liquid.

  • Fresh Cow’s milk (Infuses stabilizing lipids).
  • Fresh Sugarcane juice (Provides organic sugars to bond particles).
  • Juice extract of Malabar Nut (Adhatoda vasica).
  • Decoction of Lac (Laccifer lacca).
  • Decoction of Vetiver root (Andropogon vetiveria).
  • Juice from the inner stem of a Banana tree.
  • Fresh infusion of Lotus or Rose petals.
  • Juice extract of fresh Spanish Jasmine flowers.
  • Some sources use Turmeric decoction as the final liquid.

When the final press has been done, the mass is left in a kneadable dough-like consistency, from which small pills are rolled each equal to 125 mg.

Function:

Rasayana (Tonic to the 7 Constituents), Strengthens Kidneys, Nourishes Essence

Use:

1. Chronic Diabetes management
2. Diabetic Neuropathy
3. Diabetic Retinopathy
4. Other chronic Diabetic complications
5. Weakness and debility in the aged
6. age-related urinary incontinence
7. sexual debility, erectile dysfunction, and low vitality in men

Dose:

125mg twice daily, with honey, ghee, or plain water
For Blood Sugar Control: Taken with fresh turmeric juice, Amla juice, or warm water.
For Nervous Weakness & Rejuvenation: Taken with Cow’s Milk or a mix of Ghee and Honey

Cautions:

1. Contains heavy metals; Kidney function should be monitored if used long-term. The Lead would need to be omitted in Western society.
2. Not used for more than (a maximum of) 3 continuous months without checking liver and kidney functions
3. Not used during Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, or in Children

Modifications:

1. Shilajit is a good addition for Diabetes. It could be used instead of Lead Bhasma.
