Preparation:
Powder and form Pills of 500mg each
Function:
Clears Heat and Poison, Resolves Pus
Use:
Special for chronic Heat disorders with pus in the Sense organs of the head
“Exacerbations of the disease in the upper part of the body [from] Blood Wind”.
1. Rhinitis, Sinusitis with purulent discharge with pain in the cheeks, pain above the eyes, frontal headache
2. Tonsillitis
3. Conjunctivitis
4. Cataract, Corneal Opacity
5. Burning sensation in the Eyes
6. Polyps in teh Sclera
7. Pain and Suppuration of the Ears
8. Toothache
9. Disorders caused by combined Blood and Wind
Dose:
1500mg (3 pills) three times daily with warm water
Cautions:
1. Not used during Pregnancy.
2. Not used in Bile /Heat conditions
Modifications:
1. Some version slist Oxytropis chiliophylla (in the second version above, 80 grams is added.
2. A variation:
A ru ra (Chebula) (2 parts)
Ru rta (Costus)
Bya rgod spos (Delphinium brunonianum)
Gur gum (Safflower)
Gu gul (Bdellium)
Ba sha ka (Adhatoda) (1 part each)
This uses Delphinium in place of Musk and omits 3 medicines.
