Du Zhong (Eucommia) **

Eucommia ulmoides

Dang Gui

Angelica sinensis

Qiang Huo

Notopterygium incisium

Du Huo (Pubescent Angelica)

Angelica pubescens

15 grams ea.

Pao Fu Zi (Aconite) ***

Aconitum carmichaeli

1 ½ grams

Sheng Di Huang (Rehmannia)

Rehmannia glutinosa

25 grams

* Gastrodia and Achyranthes are soaked in wine for 3 days, then dried.
** Eucommia is wine-fried
*** Aconite is dry fried

Preparation:

The herbs are powdered, mixed with Honey and formed into very small pills (size of firmiana seeds).

Function:

Clears Wind, Strengthens Kidneys, Nourishes Yin

Use:

Pain and numbness in the body, fatigue, weakness and pain of the lower back and knees
Specifically for Yin-Deficient Fire generating Wind
1. Dizziness
2. Tinnitus
3. Forgetfulness
4. Hemiplegia
5. Poor or failing Vision

Dose:

50–70 pills taken each morning with warm water.
If prepared as a decoction, the above doses are decocted for one days use.

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

If decocted Abalone shell (Shi Jie Ming) is typically added, being decocted for 45 minutes before adding other herbs.
