Tecomella undulata (syn. Tecoma undulata, T. glauca, Bignonia undulata, B. glauca)

Cool, dry. Pungent, Bitter

Uses:

1. Clears Heat and Damp, Resists Poison:

-Liver and Spleen diseases
-Jaundice, Hepatitis
-Blood disorders
-Skin diseases, Eczema, eruptions, Leucoderma, Leprosy
-Syphilis

2. Clears Damp, Opens Obstructions:

-promotes appetite, Colic
-Abdominal diseases, Abdominal masses
-Obesity
-Leukorrhea
-obstinate urinary diseases
-Prostatic Hypertrophy

3. Benefits Heart:

-Cardiotonic

4. Promotes Milk:

-promotes and enriches Breast milk

5. Corrects Toxic Drugs:

-counteracts negative effects of other drugs

Dose:

Decoction (1 in 10): 50–100 mls
Powder: 3–6 grams

Main Combinations:

1. Abdominal diseases, Abdominal masses, Jaundice, Prostatic hypertrophy Tecomella with Woodfordia, Triphala (three fruits), Trikatu (three pungents), Plumbago, Cinnamon, Cardamon (as in Rohitakarista of Unani)
2. Liver disease, Hepatitis, Jaundice, Tecomella with Black Nightshade, Tephrosia, Picrorhiza, Eclipta alba, Boerhaavia diffusa, Tinospora, Licorice
