Botanical name:

Sophora spp.

1. S. moorcroftiana (syn. Astragalus moorcroftiana)
2. S. davidii
3. S. viciifolia has also been given by some sources.

Cold, dry. Bitter

Uses:

1. Clears Heat and Damp: (Tibet, TCM)

-Jaundice (Tibet, TCM)
-Indigestion, Stomachache

2. Clears Heat, Resists Toxin: (Tibet, TCM)

-Epidemic and Infectious diseases
-Diphtheria (Tibet, TCM)
-Poison and Toxin of various types

3. Kills Worms:

-Worms and Parasitic diseases, Tapeworm

Dose:

Decoction: 3–6 grams
Powder: 1–3 grams
