Clears Liver Heat
Use:
“Recommended as the best treatment for Liver diseases”
1. Liver Heat, “Liver Fever”
2. Especially useful for Hepatitis
Dose:
2 grams
Cautions:
1. Aristolchia (Birthwort) should be omitted or substituted (see below)
2. Use cautiously in a Cold and Weak Stomach
Modifications:
Birthwort should be substituted due to its toxicity.
1. Swertia is used by some Tibetan practitioners.
2. It can be replaced with a half quantity of Rhubarb root. (Rhubarb was used to replace Birthwort by Mesue).
3. Other substitutes can be used (see under Birthwort).
