Preparation:
Pills. It can also be prepared as a decoction.
Function:
Tonifies the Lung Qi, warms Kidney Yang, stabilises the Exterior, guides Lung Qi down
Use:
Specifically formulated for advanced, chronic respiratory failure where the primary symptom is more difficulty inhaling than exhaling
Key symptoms: Shortness of breath triggered by minimal physical exertion, a soft weak voice, chronic watery or clear sputum, cold limbs, lower back weakness, pale tongue, and a deep, thin, or thready pulse
1. Chronic Shortness of Breath, Breathlessness
2. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
3. Chronic Asthma (with Kidney deficiency)
Dose:
6–9 grams of Pills.
Cautions:
1. Not used during Pregnancy
2. Not used During Acute Exacerbations of COPD
3. Not used for Deficient Heat (Yin deficiency Heat)
