Uses:

1. Clears Heat and Toxin:

-Sores, Boils, Carbuncles, Furuncles, Scabies
-Snake and Insect Bites, Rabid Dog bite
-Toxic Wounds and Sores
-Ulcers

2. Clears Heat and Toxin, Resolves Swellings:

-Parotitis, Mastitis, Breast swelling from obstructed Milk
-Scrofula, Lymphadenitis, Mastitis, Tumors including Liver, Breast and Lymph tumors
-Cancer, including Lung, Breast, Liver, kidney, Bladder, Prostate, Lymphoma, Naso-pharyngeal, Gastric etc.
-Hernia, Hemorrhoids

3. Settles Wind and Heat, Stops Spasms:

-childhood Epilepsy
-Asthma

Dose:

Decoction: 9–15 grams
Powder: 1–3 grams

Main Combinations:

1. Abscesses, Furuncles, Semiaquilegia Tian Kui Zi with Lonicera Jin Yin Hua, Violet (Zi Hua Di Ding), Chrysanthemum Ju Hua
2. Breast Abscess, Semiaquilegia Tian Kui Zi with Dandelion (Pu Gong Ying), Velvet Deer horn (Lu Rong)
3. Scrofula, Swollen lymph nodes, Semiaquilegia Tian Kui Zi with Figwort (Xuan Shen), Self Heal (Xia Ku Cao)
4. Cancer:
i. of the Breast, Liver or Lymph, Semiaquilegia Tian Kui Zi with Scutellaria Ban Zhi Lian, Hedyotis Bai Hua She She Cao, Paris root (Chong Lou)
ii. Nasopharyngeal Cancer, Semiaquilegia Tian Kui Zi (500 grams), steep in Wine (1 ½ liters). Take 30 mls 3 times daily.
iii. Brain Cancer, Semiaquilegia Tian Kui Zi with Meconopsis Lu Rong Cao, Ligusticum Chuan Xiong, Saffron, Pearl (Practical Anti-cancer Prescriptions)

Cautions:

Not used in Spleen deficiency (digestive weakness) with loose stool.
