Botanical name:

Ranunculus spp.

R. tanguticus (Superior or “female”)
R. acris (Inferior or “male”)
R. laetus (Inferior or “male”, called Lche tsha dman pa)
R. hirtellus (called Lche tsha rigs dang po mo rigs sam mchog)

Hot, dry. Pungent (Bitter post-digestion taste)

Uses:

1. Warms the Stomach:

-Stomach cold, Indigestion, Poor digestion
-restores Digestive Heat

2. Opens the Channels, Resolves Masses:

-special effect of opening up the channels that are obstructed with Cold, Phlegm or Damp
-cures Cold Tumors
-Ulcers

3. Warms the Kidneys, Promotes Urine:

-Edema, fluid retention
-used for late-stage Edema

4. Externally:

-Pustules
-old Wounds
-applied to Warts

Dose:

Powder 200mg–1 gram
Decoction: 2–5 grams
