Botanical name:

Pyrethrum tatsiense (syn. P. tatsienense, Chrysanthemum tatsiense, C. jugorum, Tanacetum tatsiense)

Parts used:

Temperature & Taste:

Cool, dry. Bitter

Uses:

1. Clears Liver Heat, Relieves Pain:

-Headache, pain in the upper body
-pain in the Hypochondria
-Hepatitis
-Hepato-protective, Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic effects have been noted

2. Clears Heat, Moves the Blood:

-Fractures, Bruising, Wounds; especially Head injuries
-Ulcers

Dose:

Powder: 1–3 grams

Substitute:

1. The grass of Bidens tripartita has been used by Tibetans in Russia.
2. Chrysanthemum Ju Hua or Snow Chrysanthemum Xue Ju Hua may be an effective substitutes.
