Lethariella cladonioides
Synonyms: L. cashmeriana, L. sernanderi, Chlorea cladonioide, Usnea cladonioides

Parts used:

whole herb (Lichen)

Temperature & Taste:

Cool, moist. Bitter

Uses:

1. Nourishes Heart and Blood, Calm the Spirit, Settles Wind;

-nervousness, anxiety, insomnia
-Lowers cholesterol, prevents atherosclerosis, hypertension, coronary heart disease
-Dizziness, Epilepsy

2. Nourishes Yin, Clears Heat;

-Heat of the Lungs
-Thirst, low-grade Fever
-Heat diseases associated with Poison and Heat of the channels

3. Moves the Blood, Clears Stasis:

-Trauma, Bruising

4. Promotes Urine:

-Edema
-Aids weight loss

Dose:

Can be prepared as a tea by itself
3–9 grams
