Preparation:

Powder and form small pills with Licorice juice each weighing about 200mg.

Function:

Clears Heat, Resolves Phlegm, Opens the Orifices

Use:

The pattern is Phlegm-Heat harassing the Heart (Pericardium), with Fever, restlessness, convulsions with wheezing, vomiting, excess saliva
1. High Fever
2. Impaired consciousness
3. Childhood convulsions from High Fever
4. iIritability and restlessness

Dose:

This formula is only for short-term use, to reduce the Heat and Fever. As soon as severe symptoms abate, a milder formula is used.
One quarter of a pill for an infant; 3–5 pills for an adult.

Cautions:

This formula will not be able to be used in western countries due to the Cinnabar and Arsenic content, as well as the Musk.
1. Caution due to the heavy metal content. Strictly avoid overdose. Not suitable for long-term use.
2. Not used during Pregnancy or Breastfeeding.
3. This has been used for young infants (3–6 months old), but must be used extremely cautiously and only in experienced hands.

Modifications:

Modifications can be made, but Cinnabar and Realgar play a pivotal role in the efficacy of this formula.
