Preparation:

Electuary of Gems for the Heart: Take of red coral, prepared, three dirhams; white coral, prepared, three dirhams; pearl, prepared, three dirhams; amber, two dirhams; ruby, prepared, one dirham; emerald, prepared, one dirham; sapphire, prepared, one dirham; silk cocoons, burned and cleaned, five dirhams; gold leaf, washed, one dirham; silver leaf, washed, one dirham; red and white behen, of each three dirhams; cinnamon, five dirhams; doronicum, three dirhams; zedoary, three dirhams; saffron, one dirham; cloves, three dirhams; musk, half a dirham; ambergris, half a dirham. Reduce all to finest powder and incorporate with thrice the weight of rose syrup. The dose is the size of a hazelnut with cold water. This strengthens the heart, removes palpitation and anxiety, and brings joy to the spirit.

Dose:

As much as a Hazelnut
