Preparation:
Decoct the Coltsfoot roots in sufficient water until well cooked, then beat to a pulp and sieve. Then add 1 1⁄2 lbs. sugar and form an Electuary. Add the beaten Pine nuts and Raisins, mix well, then add the rest in fine powder and form an Electuary (Lohoch).
Function:
Stops Cough, strengthens the Lungs
Use:
1. Cough (various types)
2. Wheezing and Breathlessness
3. Lung disease from weakness
Dose:
Used as a licking medicine regularly; or it can be taken in doses of 1–2 drams
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
This can be prepared with Coltsfoot leaf or flower.
