Botanical name:

Doellingera scaber (syn. Aster scaber), D. marchandii

Parts used:

Whole plant and Rhizome

Temperature & Taste:

Cool, dry. Pungent, Sweet

Uses:

1. Clears Wind-Heat, Resolves Toxin:

-Wind-Heat common cold and Flu
-Malaria
-Headache, Dizziness with red eyes
-red, sore, swollen Sore Throat
-Lung Heat Hemoptysis
-Abscesses, Boils, Carbuncles, Furuncles and Toxic Sores (topically and internally)
-Rheumatoid Arthritis
-Snake Bite (topically and internally)

2. Clears Heat, Brightens the Eyes:

-red, sore, swollen Eyes

3. Clears Heat, Moves the Blood:

-Trauma and Bruising

Dose:

Decoction: 15–30 grams
Beaten to a paste and apply topically.
