Botanical name:

Diploclisia glaucescens

Parts used:

Stem and leaf

Temperature & Taste:

Cold, dry. Bitter

Uses:

1. Clears Wind and Damp:

-Wind-Damp pain of the bones and joints
-Rheumatic Arthritis

2. Clears Heat, Resists Poison:

-Painful and swollen sore throat
-Snake Bite

3. Clears Heat and Damp:

-Urinary Tract Infection, Urethritis
-Cholecystitis
-Dysentery

Dose:

Decoction: 10–20 grams (up to 30 grams)
Topically, the fresh plant is beaten and applied.

Comment:

Used by Miao and Dai minorities in South-west China.

Cautions:

1. Avoid overdose
2. Not used during Pregnancy or Breastfeeding
